The twin houses are located in the outskirts of Dublin surrounded by remnants of old Victorian and mid-century structures.
The intent of the project was to demolish an existing structure and split the narrow piece of land into much narrower, carefully designed and almost identical couple of mews houses where one of them can be used as Airbnb rental space.
The house is minimal in nature, natural light fills each and every room making them feel more spacious.
The white and brick houses doesn’t look odd between the surrounding old brick structures in the narrow alleyway in Rathmines, Dublin.
The small differences in floor plans between the two houses broke the symmetry between the two masses making them feel more interesting.
A small green court punctures all three floors allowing more natural light - especially where windows were not an option - while providing a pleasant view for each of these spaces.
